BAND TRIO REUNITE FOR A FREE CONCERT IN RESORT

ON the eve of the release of their greatest hits album Liverpool Express are to play in Southport.
The band, who had several top ten hits including You Are My Love and Every Man Must Have a Dream, are playing at QV’s Cafe Bar, in Nevill Street, on Sunday.
In their heyday, the band’s popularity spread well beyond the North West of England as they managed four number one hit singles in South America.
Highlights during their musical career include touring with Rod Stewart in Europe as well as being personally chosen by Prince Charles to perform for him at the Liverpool Empire in 1978.
The band have been through a number of changes in their line up, but surprisingly, three original members
still carry the torch for the Liverpool Express – they are Billy Kinsley, Kenny Parry and Dave Goldberg.
And Billy’s daughter, Emma, is the owner of QV’s.
Their’s website was inundated with messages from fans urging the trio to create more music tracks.
Much to the delight of their fans, Liverpool Express released a new album, ‘Once Upon a Time’, in August 2003 which included 12 brand new songs.
There is also a ‘Best of Liverpool Express’ CD in the shops from Monday..
